We believe communities thrive when they are full of healthy people. We help our patients and customers by increasing their access to health services and medications through partnerships, while also advocating for those in need of support.
Our focus is centred on:
Access to affordable healthcare - bringing trusted healthcare to millions through pharmacies, digital services and optometry, making early detection and preventative care more accessible.
Community engagement and partnerships - collaborating with leading organisations to improve, support and create fairer health outcomes.
Our colleagues are our most important asset and we are dedicated to creating a healthy, safe and inclusive workplace where all colleagues, customers and patients feel valued.
Our focus is centred on:
Prioritising colleague health, safety and wellbeing - protecting our colleagues, providing comprehensive support systems and advancing our people's growth and development.
Cultivating an inclusive and supportive workplace - building a respectful culture, accessible workplace and nurturing future talent.
We believe a sustainable marketplace is built on a foundation of shared responsibility and collaboration. We responsibly produce owned brand products, taking human and animal rights into account, and expect our suppliers to do the same. This commitment to quality allows us to meet patients' and customers' expectations for sustainable production, packaging and contributions to a circular economy.
Our focus is centred on:
Patient and customer experience - empowering customers to make informed, responsible choices, and maintaining trust across our brands.
We recognise that a healthy planet is essential to the wellbeing of the communities we serve. Our efforts are focused on sustainability, with a commitment to reducing our impact and promoting long-term environmental health. We are committed to being efficient with our resources and remain focused on meeting our reduction targets for emissions, waste and plastic, while expanding recycling initiatives.
Our focus is centred on:
Climate change resiliency
Responsible waste management and reduction within our operations
We are committed to transparent reporting in all aspects of our business including our progress in ESG activities.
Our ESG strategy is a key pillar of our purpose and is overseen by The Boots Group ESG Committee who plays a key role in the governance of our ESG programme. The ESG Committee is composed of senior leaders from across our key businesses and departments and meets at least four times a year. Its responsibilities include reviewing the overarching ESG strategic framework, approving our materiality assessment, monitoring stakeholder engagement and overseeing the completion of key disclosure projects. The ESG Committee sets and approves our ESG commitments and targets, oversees our progress and approves the annual ESG report documents.
